Edsasdålen

Edsåsdalen is located in Jämtland, a province that used to be Norwegian many ears ago.

When we first came to Edsåsdalen we fell in love with the place. We have been living and working in many countries in Europe such as Greece, Austria, France, Germany, Netherlands and Sweden.

Still after many ears away from Sweden, coming home could not be in a large city or a village with no life, many resorts were researched before we by mere chance ended up in this cozy and genuine mountain village in the midst of the Swedish fjäll (mountains) and fell instantly in love! It had it all, nice surroundings, nice people, nice buildings and of course at the end of the road the wilderness starts!

How great is it not to be out in the mountains all day and at the end of the day be able to come back to civilization to enjoy a glass of wine at the fireplace with surrounded by great people! Everything a genuine Swedish mountain village should have, Edsåsdalen has!

There are not more than 70 people living here all year around, still the population is steadily increasing with more creative people moving in to this village.

Edsåsdalen is also very close to Åre, which is the largest ski resort of Scandinavia and has some great alpine skiing. Åre has also been voted as the best ski resort of the world at some point! However we find Åre quite busy and are happy that it is reachable within 15 minutes of driving.
